Tawatheq Company was established in 2017 in Riyadh by several partners (formerly Ahmed Al-Khushayban and Partner Lawyers and Legal Consultants). It later transitioned into a sole proprietorship professional company. In 2024, Ali bin Mohammed Al-Jarbou became the sole owner and partner of Tawathuq Lawyers and Legal Consultants.

Ali bin Mohammed Al-Jarbou, the founder and CEO of the company, holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance Law from the University of Westminster in London, United Kingdom. He has served as a legal advisor to several businessmen and companies, providing guidance on regulatory and legislative matters related to real estate and financial activities. Additionally, he worked as a former advisor to the Housing program, where he contributed to the legislative and regulatory development of various systems, including the Real Estate Transaction Tax and VAT system, as well as the Real Estate Financing and Leasing systems.

He also has extensive expertise in commercial law, having previously served as the Executive Director of Legal Affairs for several companies for over 12 years, some of which are publicly listed. During this time, he managed agreements for real estate development projects involving the construction of 5,000 residential units across multiple cities. Furthermore, he served as the Chief Legal Officer for Emaar Economic City and its subsidiaries, overseeing the development of King Abdullah Economic City as the primary developer of the project. His responsibilities included managing the legal aspects of companies operating in various sectors, such as:

  • The tourism sector, which includes hotels, resorts, marine, and recreational facilities.
  • The education sector, including institutions like the World Academy and Prince Mohammed bin Salman College.
  • Operational sectors of the project, covering services such as energy, water, security, cleaning, and the maintenance of roads and public facilities within residential, commercial, and coastal areas in King Abdullah Economic City.

Additionally, he possesses extensive experience with financing systems and legal risks for financing entities licensed by the Central Bank, whether regulatory or operational. He has served as a lawyer and legal advisor for several Central Bank-licensed financing entities, including Al Rajhi Bank since 2012. In this role, he handled over 140 cases and was a member of the legal oversight team implementing judicial procedures for defaulted financing contracts exceeding SAR 2 billion. He also managed the legal affairs of Amlak International for Real Estate Development and Finance for five years, overseeing the legal aspects of real estate unit development and financing products. He worked on numerous bank facility agreements for the company, which exceeded SAR 2 billion annually with various local banks. Moreover, he provided legal representation for significant financing contracts for corporate clients, demonstrating exceptional proficiency in drafting and reviewing financing products and a thorough understanding of the requirements of the Central Bank, Shariah boards, and associated legal risks.
